These blocks are for those things in life that are important to remember.
Blocks are made with reclaimed East Tennessee wood. Read the Product Specifics section for more information. The first two photos are of Oak, the third and fourth photos are of Cherry. The final photo is to show thickness of piece. Not all pieces will have this identical look.
It's OK if you don't give your family front row seats to your growth.
We source this reclaimed wood from Smoky Mountain Vintage Lumber in Knoxville, Tennessee. They go out and save it from old houses, barns, and buildings before demolition. They rescue it from the landfill, and we turn it into something beautiful.
Jenn does the writing. Her husband hand picks the lumber, planes, joins, engraves, and finishes it. A little piece of art straight from the heart of East Tennessee.
Because of the nature of reclaimed wood, the grain and imperfection will be unique to each piece. Some blocks may have small holes from insects, nails from a former life, or even sawblade marks from the mill. Each block is sanded down and lovingly protected with Tung oil. We find that the pieces are surprisingly smooth to the touch.
